Forgotten World adds team members, could use more

So it turns out that I totally missed posting news about this back when the guys at Forgotten World put up a recruitment notice at the beginning of the month. Specifically, Iceblade wrote:

I am making a call out for individuals with some programming knowledge in hexcode, assembler, and/or C++ (or have the time and interest to learn as you go). A fair amount of the Ultima IX has been decoded with some annoying holes in certain files, yet many other aspects remain murky or completely unknown especially with regard to triggers. We also have a need to develop a few additional tools, which means those with some developed java knowledge are also welcome.

If you are interested in joining the team, contact us at [ forgottenworld2 at yahoo.com ] or send me (Sir Iceblade) a private message at our forum:

Now, fortunately, people responded to the call, and the team recently welcomed two new members, Burton Radons and Ainlor.

However, it’s probably fair to say that Iceblade would gladly accept more help, especially programmers with knowledge of the aforementioned languages (C++, assembler, Java…). So if that’s you, good Dragon or Dragonette…why not drop him a line?

(And thanks, Petrell, for bringing this to my attention.)

This is one project I’ve always been very interested in. I think Ultima IX still has a lot of potential left in it.

Also, in case you’ve missed it, pentagram.sf.net has recently updated their page. I say this solely because Gruck is my alter ego, and they mention me, and well, I’m really that sad of a human being. 😛

Heh, I’ve no problem with a little shameless self-promotion!

I will check out the update, and thanks for bringing it to my attention!

Oh, got another news update, and this one is really big.

    Bug-fixing and release big.
