Chris “Binky” Launius posted a couple of SoundCloud links in the Ultima Dragons Facebook group, which led to recordings of Maurice LaMarche during his voice sessions for Ultima 9.

VO session for and early incarnation of UIX. Maurice LaMarche was the voice actor doing Iolo and Shamino (I think) and he was working on Pinky and the Brain shows at the time (He voiced The Brain) and was just riffing and did this.

It’s a neat little glimpse into Ultima 9’s development history. The original voice lineup for the game was pretty impressive! Not that the final voice artists were necessarily all unknowns; they weren’t. But then, there were a number of issues that affected the final quality of the game’s voice work.
