Mass Effect 4…or whatever it’s called

Just a reminder: Commander Shepard will not be appearing in the next Mass Effect game, which Tibby and the rest of the BioWare Montreal team are at present working on. The various companions of Commander Shepard from the first trilogy will similarly not be turning in appearances.

Star Wars: The Old Republic

So…free-flight PvP starfighter battles have come to BioWare’s Star Wars MMORPG. This is a good development, and a marked improvement over the “on rails” space missions that the game has offered players to date.

Just don’t expect a PvE version of the free-flight model to appear any time soon. The system simply hasn’t been built to support it, and it would evidently take a lot of development work to support it.

Pity.
