Bethesda Thursdays

Dishonored & Arkane Studios

Bethesda has announced that the Game of the Year edition of Dishonored will be released on October 8th. As you can well imagine, it ships with all the DLC for the game.

Arkane is also looking for a lead environment artist, a UI artist,

The Elder Scrolls Online

ZeniMax Online’s upcoming MMORPG will be playable at the upcoming EuroGamer Expo. The developers also answered more questions from fans recently, and took a look at a few pieces of fan art. They also released some heavy armour concept art.

Oh, and Massively took a look at some of the in-game holidays players can expect to encounter.

Of course, the doubts about the game’s viability continue, with some wondering if the game hasn’t been set up to fail, and if it can succeed with its subscription model.

That said, IGN (at least) counts the game among its most-anticipated MMOs.

Fallout 3

Not the game you expected to see on this list, is it? Well, there’s a retrospective of the game that was published in the last week. Might be worth a look!

The Evil Within

This game looks pretty scary, if I do say so myself. Which probably means I’ll give it a pass, personally, since horror isn’t really my thing. But for those of you are are survival horror fans, it’s probably worth a look.

Skyrim

If you’re curious about what’s included in the recently-released The Elder Scrolls Anthology, here’s a handy quick-reference for that.

And what do you all think? Is Skyrim the high-point of this gaming generation?

OpenMW

Work continues. The team had another productive week.

For my part (if my avatar doesn’t give it away) I’ll take Fallout 3 over Skyrim any day, even though Skyrim is a great game.
