Serpent Isle Turns 20
If the Wikipedia entry for Ultima 7 Part 2: Serpent Isle is to be believed, the follow-up to Origin Systems’ Ultima 7: The Black Gate was released twenty years ago today. Hard to believe, isn’t it?
We’ll have a few things happening throughout the day. Sadly, that won’t include the revelation of any new images or development documents, but we did manage to finish setting up the Serpent Isle subdomain just in time for this occasion; you can now grab all the great Serpent Isle-specific downloads from Old Aiera there instead.
And we do have one thing to publish a little later today that should be of interest to everyone. Interviews are such great sources of new and exciting information about beloved games.
In the meantime, why not re-install and re-play the game (or give it a try, if for some reason you haven’t played it yet)? And do he sure to hit up the Codex of Ultima Wisdom for all kinds of information about the game, including pieces of the game’s planned plot that never made it into the final cut.

Damn. I should have had something planned for this. Oh well.
