Yes! Donate Your Ultima Assets to the Digital Lycaeum!

Browncoat Jayson, in a comment on a recent article about Scythifuge sharing assets with The Ultima 6 Remake project, makes a good point:

I also love to see the spirit of collaboration at work!
Remember, if you have assets that you want to share with the community at large, especially things like sprites, music, and models that can be used in a variety of projects, we have a spot for that! The Digital Lycaeum is designed to host assets for use in multiple Ultima-themed projects!

In all seriousness, The Digital Lycaeum was created, and continues to exist, to foster exactly the sort of resource sharing that Scythifuge was recently engaging in. The creation of various sorts of assets — music, code, and (especially) art — is a major hurdle that hobbles and in many cases kills would-be Ultima fan projects. Why not share the assets you’ve created for your project with others, and help them perhaps get past that significant obstacle?

    Actually, there is a bigger site for this called http://opengameart.org/ It’s not ultima specific ofcourse, but it could help any project. All images on that site have licenses that allow for easy inclusion
