Over on the Ultima Dragons Discord server, Grant W. Chapman has been hard at work over the last several months, mainly creating sprites for Ultima 8: Exult:

Finally, he was also — this in late December of 2025 — working on implementing sprites to support the addition of cannons to boats in Ultima 7 (and the Exult engine). You can see a work-in-progress screenshot at the top of this article, and also see the cannons in action (sort of) in this update concerning the Ultima 6 Remake project from late last year.
