“Ultima IV Rebirth” Updated to Celebrate “Ultima 4’s” 40th Anniversary
Glanestel Dragon has published an update for Ultima IV Rebirth, the Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition-based remake of Ultima 4 that he has been maintaining for the last several years, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Ultima 4’s release.
I released a new version of the awesome Ultima IV Rebirth mod for Neverwinter Nights EE. This fits nicely with Ultima IV’s 40 anniversary! The new release is just an unnoficial patch on the existing Ultima IV Rebirth, but it does fix some bugs and adds another layer of polishing to this mod, which in my mind is the best (and maybe only) way I know of to play a modern remake of Ultima IV. Similar to the first time I released a patch version of the original incarnation of this mod (Ultima IV Reborn), this just came out of me playing through the mod, and realizing there were several things I could fix to make it even more awesome.
You can see a list of changes, features, and still-known issues with the module at its project entry over at Neverwinter Vault, and you can download it there or at its project entry here at the Codex.
One nice thing about the module is that, as of the last couple of releases, Glanestel has bundled all of the various required and optional components, as well as the module guide, into a single archive. Instructions on how to install the module can be found in a single readme file.

Happy to be able to help with the continued development of this mod. But I am just one in a line of several people that have been maintaining this mod over the years, so credit where it’s due: besides giving thanks to Devi for the original creation of the mod, I have to call out DanCar, Xenovant and Melavir Sauin for their amazing work transforming the original mod into the expanded version we have now, and bliznik and Dark Ranger for fixing up and adding improvements to the current version, including the bundling of files and simplifying the installation process. Thanks for your awesome work!

I just lost my comment 😭
Let’s try this again… Thanks to everyone for all the work they put into this mod. I’m sorry I had to be away for a couple of years. This may not meet Lazarus standards, but it is a work of passion. I can’t wait to see a Britannia like this in a more 3D environment.
