Check Out “Lurking III: Vermys”, The Next Game in the “Lurking” Series

Apparently, oklabsoft has also been working on a third entry in the Lurking series: Lurking III: Vermys…and then since 2018! Unlike its predecessors, however, Lurking III is being built with a “simple 3D engine”, as its developer describes it. The game has gone through several iterations in its style, coding language, tools, and gameplay mechanics. Additionally, the game’s development log has not been updated since 2019, so the status of the game is uncertain.

Still, the departure from the look and feel of the other Lurking games is quite apparent in these screenshots:

Lurking III will give players the ability to create a full party of adventurers, who will have a complete set of skills, attributes and resistances that the player will be able to improve as they progress through the game. Additionally, players will be able to explore a large, low-poly 3D open world featuring both outdoor and indoor areas (not to mention dungeons).

The game is not presently available for download. Should it ever be released, expect that it will come to Windows first, as was the case with Lurking I. However, there is a brand new project entry for Lurking III here at the Codex, and you can also follow its itch.io site for further updates (if any are made).
