Shroud of the Avatar No Longer Listed in Travian Games’s Collection
Update (10/29/19 7:47AM Central): No email response from Travian Games yet, despite making multiple attempts to get a response from them either direct email, social media, and a broken email form.
Back on July 31st 2017, it was announced via Press Release by Portalarium on the Shroud of the Avatar website, but also highlighted by us here at Ultima Codex, Gamastura, and other outlets soon thereafter. Since the press release, I have noticed Travian mentioned at times in when Portalarium is at shows/conventions. I am sure you have also noticed Cerus, Travian Senior Community Manager, in the Shroud of the Avatar forums. On the Travian website, they highlighted Shroud of the Avatar, along with other games like: Crowfall, Rail Nation, Travian Kingdoms, etc.
It was brought to my attention this morning that Shroud of the Avatar is no longer highlighted int he “Our Fine Collection” section of the home page of Travian Games. I scrolled through it multiple times and the logo no longer appears. This also means no links back to the SotA Website, SotA Twitter, or SotA Facebook page. Portalarium is listed on their company timeline, in regards to the partnership that started in 2017, and you can see art from SotA on their wall art in one photo. Past news events posts obviously still show their engagement and highlighting of SotA, but the removal of home page is what I am focusing on.
Now, before I start any speculation, I did attempt to reach out to Travian via their Contact Us form to their Marketing/PR section and got an “500 Internal Server Error”. I emailed Travian directly using their email address from their Travian Facebook page. I hope to hear back from them as soon as they are able, as I know with the recent Richard Garriot no longer being CEO at Portalarium for the reasons he listed, speculation and assuming the worst is easy to do. As soon as I get any update, I will update this article accordingly and note the updates.
