Support Sylph: Project Miyaji on Kickstarter
It’s a few hours late in coming, but Kevin Fishburne’s Kickstarter campaign to crowdfund the cover art for Sylph: Project Miyaji has begun!
Hey everybody, this is Kevin (a.k.a. Boolean Dragon when shrouded in burning nightshade), the developer of Sylph: Project Miyaji and Sanctimonia. As development of Sylph nears completion, like all classic (or classically-inspired) games, it needs some box cover art majesty of the kind only amazing artists like Denis Loubet, Noriyoshi Ohrai, Larry Elmore, Jeff Easley and Indi Martin can get down with. No, this isn’t a some-random-guy-did-insanely-disturbing-Mega-Man-cover-art, this is a detailed, large-format watercolor and ink wraparound painting that will make your eyes water and transport you to another world where 640KB was good enough for anybody. And I need your help to make it happen.
…
Indi has supplied paintings to several publishers for fantasy RPG supplements including the award-winning Veranthea Codex as well as becoming the primary bestiary artist for the upcoming game The Dark Unknown. She lives in Maryland painting digitally with her Wacom tablet, but escapes as often as she can to the mountains of West Virginia to focus on her watercolor pieces.
For a minimum spend of $10 USD, you’ll get a massive digital copy of the finished artwork (the promised resolution is 14400×10800). At the $15 USD level, you’ll also gain access to concept sketches, mockups, and other development and planning materials for the game. And at the $20 USD level, the rewards include a digital copy of Sylph for Linux (as well as any future ports to other platforms, should those emerge).
Kevin is hoping to raise $390 USD, a modest goal which should be easily obtainable.
