Actually, I’ve been messing around with a couple different forum solutions for a while now, but I think I’ve finally settled on…one of the first forum solutions I ever implemented at the site anyway: bbPress. Of course, it’s a rather heavily-modified version of bbPress, and has most (all?) of the features one would expect of a forum…and it integrates rather seamlessly with WordPress.

So, do go and check them out. And contribute!

Additionally, you’ll find that comments are now driven through the forum proper; each news post will create for itself a topic in the forum, and comments will double as replies to the topic (though they’ll also appear under the post). Comment nesting is supported too; that feature hasn’t gone away. And on old posts, you’ll find the old commenting system intact. I’ve tried to make the transition as seamless and painless as possible; hopefully it will be.

Oh, and you can thank Iceblade for unearthing the old Sword & Shield logo. I had honestly forgotten I had ever created it.
