Is There a Richard Garriott Autobiography Coming Out Next Year?
So…this is highly speculative.
As I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned before, I have all these Google Alerts set up to notify me of any new content popping up on the web concerning a number of key words and phrases, such as “Ultima Forever“, “Shroud of the Avatar“…and “Richard Garriott”. Among other things, of course.
A search hit came up for Richard Garriott recently, which led to his author profile page at Harper Collins. That page, in turn, listed him as the author of a single book, apparently titled Unti Richard Garriott, which he apparently co-authored with one David Fisher.
What’s more, there is a pre-order of Unti Richard Garriott available via Amazon, in both Kindle and hardcover editions. (It also can also be pre-ordered from other online booksellers…Kobo, for example).)
And, indeed, its Amazon pre-order pages list a publication date for it: February 10, 2015.
Oh, and that title, Unti Richard Garriott? It translates, roughly, as “(The) Anointed Richard Garriott”, in Italian. The Kobo profile, notably, lists it as being in the “Biography & Memoir” content category…hence the question posed above. Is this Richard Garriott’s upcoming autobiography?
The First Age of Update: Or maybe I’m over-thinking the title, as Ben Lesnick points out:
@wtf_dragon I'm thinking that's Unti[tled] Richard Garriott book rather than an Italian name.

That does seem rather more likely, now I think about it.
That would be awesome. I’ve wanted him to write one forever.
