Ultima 9 Was Released Fourteen Years Ago This Week

That’s right…Ultima 9, the last entry in the single-player line of Ultima games, came out fourteen years ago as of about Sunday this week.

It’s a…tour of the Origin Systems offices that German gaming magazine PC Games received back in 1996. There’s a lot of different stuff that gets covered — we see footage from one of the Longbow games that Origin developed, for example, and some discussion of Ultima Online with a staggeringly young Starr Long — but around the 8:30 mark there is some grainy footage of the isometric 3D version of Ultima 9, as well as a few of the CGI cutscenes that were made for the game.
