Bethesda Thursdays
Bethesda Softworks
Bethesda announced this week that they are opening a new office in Sydney, Australia. Presumably, the office (under one Simon Alty) will act to advocate for Bethesda’s titles in light of Australia’s rather restrictive games rating system.
The Elder Scrolls Online
There are some fresh The Elder Scrolls Online screenshots to check out, and some maps as well. And hey…we also got a look at the process of creating yet another creature race for the game.
Also, Massively took a look at how TESO’s developers plan to address a common MMORPG pitfall, colloquially referred to as the “hybrid penalty”.
Skyrim
There’s an amusing meme series concerning The High King of Skyrim. Here’s one example, and here’s another. Amusing stuff, if Internet memes are your thing.
Dishonored
Dead End Thrills has some great new Dishonored screenshots.
The Evil Within
Yeah, it still looks terrifying.
Modding News
A group of former The Elder Scrolls modders have launched a Kickstarter campaign for their own, new, open-world fantasy RPG: Unwritten: Echoes of Twilight. They’re apparently using Havok’s Vision Engine to build it.
And OpenMW had another productive week. Their OpenCS construction tool is the focus of their most recent site update, and darn if it doesn’t sound like a powerful utility.
The link you refer to with the maps etc. for TESO has had the images removed.
