A pair of updates were posted to the Ultima Online website in the last 24 hours (or so). The first one concerns an issue with account management:

We discovered an issue with the Account Management Center this morning that has been fixed. If you were having difficulties renewing your accounts please try again. If you are still unable to complete your transaction please contact us so we can take another look at the problem.

Thanks everyone for giving us a heads up on this problem. We look forward to seeing you this Saturday and helping us celebrate our BIRTHDAY!!!

The second and more recent update concerns houses that were being placed in the Deep Sea Quest area of the game…apparently, they weren’t supposed to be placeable there:

Houses that have been placed in the new Deep Sea Quest area are being deleted. The ability to place houses there will be corrected today. Game Masters are in the process of going to each shard and deleting all houses they find in this area.

One has to appreciate the speed with which observant players will exploit a mis-configuration.
