Shroud of the Avatar: Consolidated Calls for Art

Over on the Shroud of the Avatar forums, Portalarium designer Bill Kirkman has posted an updated “Call for Art” thread that neatly consolidates all of the various art requests Portalarium has made into one place.

And, for that matter, into one convenient Google Document:

Instead of having several threads spreading throughout the forum, we’ve decided to bring all the Call For Art requests into a single spreadsheet that should hopefully make things easier to find, faster to update so you guys can see what’s open/closed, and able to provide a bit more details as needed.

The doc can be found here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0An0ywLIrwlFZdGNxbEt4VVc0b2QwVG1wbjczak43Wmc&usp=sharing

and here is the doc break down:

  • Name of the object (often a category of objects)
  • Description of what is needed
  • Type of object requested (which is currently all props but will likely open up soon to FX and more)
  • Priority of how badly we need the request
  • Status which is broken down into 3 categories:
    • Open – We still haven’t received any submissions yet
    • Received- We have received submissions but are still looking for more
    • Closed- We are no longer looking for submissions for this item
  • Bounty is for art that we decide to use in the game and lists a dollar amount that you can receive via PayPal or choose another reward such as shipping you a custom t-shirt or earn 2x the reward amount credited towards your SotA account.
  • Notes are for anything extra that needs to be pointed out, typically regarding asset creation

We’ll go ahead and make a new post here when we add new assets just to let everyone know.

In an effort to avoid duplication and confusion, some aspiring asset develoeprs have set up a “Dibs” thread elsewhere on the Shroud of the Avatar forums, wherein they aspire to keep track of what everyone is working on. If you’re going to attempt to work on anything on the list of needed assets, it might serve you well to pop into that thread first.

And if you need a refresher on the asset creation process and how to submit assets to Portalarium, see this forum thread.
