Ultima Forever: Ask the Devs, Part the First
On the Ultima Forever Facebook page, Mythic have announced that the first “Ask the Devs” segment has been posted to the game’s official forums.
First segment, you ask? Why, yes:
A short time ago, we asked you guys and gals what burning questions you’d like to see answered by members of our development team for Ultima Forever: Quest for the Avatar. We received some really great questions, from a variety of sources… and over the course of the last week or so, I was able to track down some answers to the majority of them. (Special thanks to the producers and designers who made themselves available!)
Due to the amount of material, I’ll be breaking the segment up into three parts; this being the first of them. Enjoy!
Here’s a taste or two:
We’ve seen screenshots of male and female mages, but can we expect both sexes for all classes? If not, what is the reason for this restriction?
The simple answer here is that both genders will be available for all available classes. The reason that only the Mage is currently available in both genders is a factor of timing and resources. We were able to squeeze in a female Mage before soft-launch, and you can expect a follow-up to that in the near future, for the Fighter.
Will this be available on Android?
As with all platform releases, we base our decision on demand. We are currently evaluating this market and what is needed for conversion, and have been working on an Android version for a few months. There have been discussions about release on both Android and PC. And who knows… maybe the Commodore 64?
