If you are inclined to take advantage of Rustic Dragon’s Telethon of the Avatar and pledge to Shroud of the Avatar, now is the time to do it! To make the process as easy as possible, here are the steps to backing SotA and earning prizes at the Hearth of Britannia!

Step One: Visit the Shroud of the Avatar website

Simply go to www.shroudoftheavatar.com and click Login or Register.

Step Two: Register a Username

At the bottom of the page, click Register. Enter your desired username and e-mail address to continue.

Step Three: Confirm your account

You will receive an e-mail from Portalarium shortly to confirm your information. Follow the instructions in that letter to activate your new Shroud of the Avatar account.

Step Four: Return to the Shroud of the Avatar website and log in

You can now see the Pledge options. Note: Wait until the Telethon of the Avatar has started before continuing!

Step Five: Start Pledge

During the Telethon of the Avatar (August 24, 12:00 PM to August 25, 12:00 PM, EDT), select your desired method of pledging, and then click Pledge. In order to win prizes, you must select a Full Payment option. (The Monthly Payment options do not award tier information until the final payment is received, so is not eligible for Telethon of the Avatar awards.)

Step Six: Select Pledge Level

The minimum Level for receiving Shroud of the Avatar upon release, and incidentally for winning prizes, is Adventurer, the $45 pledge tier. Note that you can select higher tiers and receive more in-game goodies from Portalarium, a list of which can be found on the front page of their website by expanding each Level name. However, you can always upgrade your pledge to a higher tier later, and pledging as an Adventurer may have other benefits during the Telethon of the Avatar.

Step Seven: Add Referral (Optional)

On this page, you can also add who referred you to the game. My e-mail address is above, or you can use my Referral ID# of 1583. There are also a number of other community members who would appreciate your referral; just ask them for their Referral ID#!

Adding a referral is optional, but it does benefit those who earn referral credits.

Step Eight: Forward Your Pledge to the Hearth of Britannia

You will receiving a confirmation e-mail from Portalarium welcoming you as a backer of Shroud of the Avatar. Simply forward this e-mail to redeem@hearthofbritannia.com in order to qualify for prizes. Make sure to include your mailing address (so Rustic can send you whatever wonderful prizes you may win), and if you referred anyone please include their name as well.

That’s it! All you need to do now is enjoy the rest of the Telethon. There is a full Schedule of Events lined up, including Activities you can participate in, and lots of Prizes to be won.
