Cryptic Studios is hiring software engineers, to work on their various MMORPGs, no doubt including Neverwinter…the next expansion for which (Fury of the Feywild) will be released on August 22nd.

Am I the king of terrible segues? I submit that I am at least the duke thereof.

There’s also a new patch available on the Neverwinter test shard, and one of the game’s developers recently sat down for a chat at Laser Lemming. Oh, and PC Gamer finally got around to reviewing the game, and singled out its Foundry feature (and attendant user-generated content) for conspicuous praise.

Limbic Entertainment have published several more updates to the Might & Magic X developer blog, covering a variety of subjects (there’s even a studio tour). New screenshots and Q&A sessions have also been published, and the Ranger class was introduced earlier this week.

Deus Ex: The Fall has been patched to remove the gun-disabling DRM that activated when the game detected a jailbroken device. Reviews of the game are mixed, with some finding it lacking and others praising its implementation. Combat in the game seems to be the one universal point of agreement: it’s decent against small numbers of enemies, but hopelessly kludgy against larger groups.

In somewhat related news, Eidos Montreal general manager Stephane D’Astous announced his resigation from the studio earlier this week, citing various issues with Square Enix as his reason for doing so.

In other news of the disgruntled, one Rhode Island sports memorabalia shop is offering a “commemorative” plaque “thanking” Curt Schilling for the $75 million 38 Studios default.

The North American localization of ArcheAge is proceeding apace, evidently.

And Supergiant Games want you all to know that they are totally okay with people making “Let’s Play” and similar streamed sessions of their games.
