Hearth of Britannia: The Chalice of Honor
The Hearth of Britannia website has been ever-so-slightly updated again a couple of times since last we checked in on it. The previously-speculated chalice, visibly poking out (in part) from an opened box, has in fact been confirmed to be a chalice, which has been set upon the table that comprises the site’s footer. Moreover, it has been filled with a conspicuously purple liquid.
And, to drive the point home, Rustic Dragon updated the Hearth of Britannia Facebook event with a short, cryptic message:
It’s been an honor to serve the Ultima community.
One wonders which talisman of the Virtues will appear from the next box to be opened?
I give up. WTF (not you, Kenneth, the *other* WTF) is “Hearth of Britannia”??? The website announces events with no stated purpose, no links, no explanation of what a “Dragons meet” is, just ONE reference to a “cookbook project”. I am not comprehension impaired… but no outsider can tell what is going on.
Hearth of Britannia BEGAN as a modest effort to create a…Britannian cookbook, if you will. It has since morphed into something quite different, by all appearances. The Dragonsmeets are an example of this, a nice little periodic get-together that Rustic hosts for interested Ultima Dragons. Not really cookbook-related, but cool even so.
The event he has planned for next month, however, appears to be a different thing entirely, and I would hazard that it goes far, far beyond pots, pans, and the baking of tasty breads.
