BioWare Mondays
There’s a rumour going around that BioWare managed to snap up the Space Marine license during the THQ selloff that took place a while back. I’m not sure how much stock to put into that idea, nor do I have the first clue what BioWare might even attempt to do with what the IP. But this is the weekly BioWare round-up post, so…there’s that.
Massively is raising a bit of a fuss over the Ewok companion that will be added to Star Wars: The Old Republic in update 2.3. BioWare Austin are also busily adding population and encounters to some of the seedier areas of the game world, in preparation for a series of bounty hunting-themed events that will take place next month.
Keeping with the Star Wars theme, might I also suggest you check out this short retrospective of Knights of the Old Republic? And in case you hadn’t heard, Knights of the Old Republic is in fact available for the iPad now; it seems to review rather well.
There have also been a couple of interesting staffing shakeups at BioWare over the last week. Chris Priestly, almost an institution unto himself at the Edmonton studio, has announced that he’ll be leaving the company in short order, while former Gears of War producer Chris Wynn has announced that he’ll be joining the Mass Effect team in Montreal.
Also, GamingIllustrated managed to get a brief preview of Dragon Age: Inquisition recently.
That rumor is from April…
Well, I just heard about it 😛
