The Witcher 3 will, according to the latest reports, have as many as thirty-six distinct endings. Which is…a lot. Yes.
The Koalition managed to get a brief interview with quest designer Jakub Rokosz, while Softpedia (of all places) posted an interview with gameplay director Mark Ziemak. The latter interview is apparently where the “36 endings” figure comes from, and Ziemak also notes that all of the endings play out only after one of three different epilogue sequences is completed.
A big preview of The Witcher 3 was published by OXM, and CD Projekt RED also went on the record to state that they were aiming for CGI-quality graphics in gameplay.
Oh, and don’t miss this Video Game Sophistry interview with The Witcher 3 development team (or, well, a subset thereof). There’s also an interview with some of the team at Forbes.
I hope EA never buys them.
