It would appear that, at least as far as David Watson — the real-life inspiration for everyone’s favourite bard — is concerned, the answer is “yes”.

    Iolo has been used by David Watson outside of Ultima; see Iolo’s First Book of Crossbows, so EA can’t really do anything about him continuing to use it. Not sure if the exact name (Iolo FitzOwen) was included in the copyright they got for Ultima tho; he might end up with a different surname.

    Well the three main companions have appeared in another form in both Savage Empire and Martian Dreams so I wouldn’t be surprised to see some cameos in SOTA.
