Ultima Forever: Website Relaunched, With New Screenshots & Game Details
Concurrent with the release of the Ultima Forever trailer yesterday, UltimaForever.com — the official Ultima Forever website — was relaunched.
The site features a handful of new screenshots, which give a look at various aspects of the game including the moral quandries it presents players with, combat (of course), and the dialogue UI. You can check out the new screenshots on our screenshots page here, or check them out along with everything else at the Ultima Forever website. While you’re there, you’ll also find a few more details about the antagonist that we were warned about in the trailer, the Black Weep.
I like the new images they included. My favorite is the “Reflection” image, with a mage character standing before a stained glass version of the Quest of the Avatar cover. There is some outstanding artwork in the game for architecture and backgrounds, and this image shows some of it.
The Details page show a couple examples of the “multi-virtue” cards, another of which can be seen on the Gypsy concept art. Apparently Compassion + Sacrifice + Honor + Spirituality = Hermit, and Justice + Sacrifice + Spirituality = Gypsy. The one on the Gypsy card is Compassion + Honor + Spirituality, and appears to be a woman sitting on the moon, but I can’t read the name of the card.
I’m also a fan of the new ankh and codex symbol art. Good stuff.
