Bethesda Thursdays
PlayStation 3 gamers, rejoice! The Hearthfire DLC for Skyrim is now available to you! (And Dawnguard will evidently be available next week.) Unless you’re in Europe…then you’ll have to wait until the end of the month.
Also, this guy didn’t last very long in his attempt to play Skyrim, and felt so inspired by the failure that he wrote a fairly lengthy article explaining how the game failed to hook him, compared to ways in which other modern RPGs did. It’s an interesting read, if nothing else, and some of you may find you agree with it at some points.
The Elder Scrolls Online received its millionth “Like” on Facebook, and celebrated the PR milestone by releasing new videos and images of armour concept art. DigitalSpy got a bit of a preview of the game, and were told, as well, that the game wasn’t meant to be played as a first-person title. In spite of that departure from the gameplay traditions of The Elder Scrolls, the game remains on excited, anticipatory watchlists even so.
And work on OpenMW is proceeding apace. Zini, from the Titans of Ether managed to coax a new build out of the project, and also added melee combat to the roadmap for the next release of the engine…which I presume means he has begun working on that particular system.
