Bethesda Thursdays
Skyrim, Oblivion, and various DLC for both went on steep discount on Xbox Live just in time for New Year’s. GameSpy, meanwhile, decided to ring in 2013 by suggesting ways to make Skyrim play like an older-school, harder-core RPG.
And Gaming Illustrated chimed in with some suggestions about what Dragon Age 3 might learn from Bethesda’s smash hit RPG. By which I mean Skyrim. Not Dishonored. That’s apparently considered an “action game” by the people that know these things.
Speaking of Arkane’s latest, however, Joystiq have ranked it in their Top 10 of 2012 (and rightly so!), placing it in sixth place overall. Kotaku, meanwhile, has praised it for having some of the best concept art of 2012, and GameInformer awarded it the “Best Story in an Action Game” crown for the year.
Moving on! PC Gamer have ranked The Elder Scrolls Online as one of the most — if not the most — anticipated MMORPG of 2013. So here’s hoping it releases this year!
Oh, and the OpenMW project have posted a visual history of the project to ring in the new year. Have a watch; they have come a long way.
