Obsidian Fridays
A new trailer for South Park: The Stick of Truth was released at the Video Game Awards, and can now be viewed online. 1UP has some reservations about the game and point out various ways it could either go right or very wrong. South Park has never really been my cup of tea, but I’ll admit to finding the trailer for the game rather funny, and I think Obsidian have done an excellent job of nailing the tone and look of the series in their upcoming game.
Josh Sawyer posted a vlog (I guess) on the topic of usefulness and balance in game design. And the latest update to the Project Eternity Kickstarter page introduced us to Dimitri Berman, the lead character artist for the project. News also broke this week about how Obsidian very nearly made Baldur’s Gate 3…until Atari got cold feed and ultimately backed out. And fired the producer that had been working with Obsidian.
Also: the Restored Content Mod for Knights of the Old Republic 2 has been nominated for PC Gamer’s “Mod of the Year” award.
Cold feet. Feel free to delete my comment after correction, as that’s it’s sole purpose.
