It took a while, but GOG have finally added the long-missing expansion packs for Wing Commander 1 & 2, Privateer, and Alpha Centauri.

These expansions are free updates, so just download the new installers for each game from your account and start playing now! Note that these EA games will not be part of any Daily Deal bundle, so go ahead and pick them up now for only $2.99 each.

They credit Mythic’s Jeff Skalski and Paul Barnett for giving them the pushing and prodding necessary to actually get these expansion packs released, and rightly so. Missing, however, is the shout-out to Ben “Bandit LOAF” Lesnick, who tirelessly hounded both GOG and the team at Mythic to get together and straighten out this mess.

And yes, Mythic are aware that some other EA games in GOG’s catalogue are missing expansion pack content as well (Dungeon Keeper, for example, or Populous). They are working on it as you read this, so hopefully there will be more good news of this sort in the next month or two!
