The CRPG Addict has gotten around to playing Hero’s Quest, later renamed to Quest for Glory. The first installment in the series, So, You Want To Be A Hero more or less set the tone for most of the later games, establishing the blend of RPG mechanics and cheeky humour that made the series so endearing.

The Addict seems to be playing as a thief, primarily, but he has taken full advantage of the game’s very open stat system and has essentially created a fighter/thief hybrid that also has some magical talent. He’s…maybe a bit over two-thirds of the way through the game, having just freed the Baronet from the kobold’s curse.
