Indulge Me Some Speculation: What Will Dragon Age 3 Be About?
Within the lore of the Dragon Age series, the Inquisition began in the wake of the First Blight, and set itself as the group responsible for protecting Thedas from the dark effects of magic…and from heretics. David Gaider has dropped a few hints that the Inquisition may rise again, and certainly the events of Asunder leave open the very real possibility that the Seekers and the Templars will unite into one cohesive force again, perhaps this time to rid Thedas of magic and its users entirely.
Which, in turn, could well plunge Thedas into civil war, one that could reach into the very heart of Orlais and all its mighty cities.
I also rather suspect that the plot of Dragon Age 3 may in some ways turn on the sudden appearance of a man or woman with an apparently legitimate claim to being the direct, lineal heir of Andraste, the prophet/Christ figure central to the history of the Chantry. Indeed, I wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out that a significant character from a previous Dragon Age game proved to be just such an heir.
You mean the ARCHDEMON GOD-BABY? Well that would be ironic.
