You Should All Take More Advantage Of the Groups Feature
There’s a feature of the Ultima Codex that I think might be of interest to some of you: the Groups feature. I don’t know if any of you have explored it yet, but it’s a neat little way for you all to converse and collaborate independent of the comments here at Aiera (or anywhere else on the site). Not that I don’t love watching the discussions that happen in the comments…but I think the Groups are just that cool.
Currently, there’s just one group, which I set up for the site admins:
The Groups interface is pretty straightforward — its primary feature is a posting interface, where group members can shout out their thoughts. Posts to the group also support replies and comments, which will appeared in a threaded arrangement underneath the original post.
Just for fun, I’ve set up an Ultima Dragons group; apply to join if you want. If you’d like to suggest other groups for me to create (e.g. project-specific groups), please do…and if you’d like to volunteer as a moderator for any groups, please do likewise.
This site’s ultimate goal is to be a community hub, more so than Old Aiera ever was or could have been. And the Groups feature is a great way to participate in the community here and help it grow.
Nice, but I think Facebook has already filled the community hub function
