I probably should have reported on this a while ago, but Portalarium has set up a Facebook page for Richard Garriott’s upcoming Ultimate RPG, which seems now to be the working title of the project. The header to the site proclaims:

Join Richard “Lord British” Garriott as he makes his triumphant return to the role-playing game genre with the Ultimate RPG!

The header image for the page doesn’t feature the de Cayeux/Garriott shield that we’ve all previously seen associated with the game, but rather peers out at visitors to the page from the glowing eyes of the magic-imbued metal mask that can be seen above. That photo was posted back on April 13th, and has elicited a number of comments…some from Ultima fans who will be no strangers to Aiera’s frequent visitors. Speculation about the image runs the gamut from disgust to excitement, but Lord British’s sole comment on the matter gives away nothing.

What say you, Dragons and Dragonettes? What can we infer about the Ultimate RPG given this image?
