Lol, I don’t mind you “going commercial”, but I think this post may be going a bit too far.

Mostly, I was amused that people had bought blouses, garden sprayers, and makeup, and wanted to share that with y’all. And say thanks, of course. It doesn’t seem polite to say “support the site” (because it does cost a fair bit to run) and then not say “thank you” from time to time.
Yeah, it’s all normal stuff…but it’s about the last thing I expected to see when I put up the banners, most of which deal with electronics and games.
Now…the GOG banner…I actually like the look of it (it’s probably the best graphic I’ve built in GIMP to date), but the placement…just no.
Maybe beneath the article stubs?
Well, if you want people to notice it, you could stick it between the top 4 article stubs and the rest of them.
That might be doable…with some PHP trickery. I think I’ll have to break up the article display loop…but now I think about it, I think there’s a way to jump its iteration ahead.
Experimentation is warranted.
Update: And that proved to be simpler than expected. Huzzah!
Nice job. You might want to play with it a bit. Perhaps lowering it to be below the Top 6 would be more aesthetic. That puts it right next to the “Support Aiera” part of the sidebar. It’s your call, though…
Actually, I was thinking of moving it to 6 as well. It would look a bit more…together.

I bought some ultimas on gog after registering on got following the banner here. Hope that worked and you get something for the site…
Things have been going pretty well at GOG. I’m sure your contributions have shown up, although they don’t give me granularity to know for sure. All I see are how many games were sold in a week (and all I get there is a numeric total, not a detailed list of which games) and what that amounts to in terms of commission.
But based on what I am seeing, I’m pretty sure you’re included in the numbers.
