And he does seem a bit…twisted, and kind of an arse. Could be a result of any number of factors, I suppose: social, cultural, psychological, whatever. I probably wouldn’t enjoy having coffee with him, but I try not to let that cloud my thinking when it comes to adding or not adding a project to the site. I’m sure he’s hardly the only project dev I’d struggle to get along with in real life (in fact, I know for a fact he isn’t/wouldn’t be).

I can’t help that some people are arseholes — I’m an arsehole myself, from time to time — but even arseholes do good or interesting work in many cases. (Wow, that’s like…John Carmack’s entire career summarized in one sentence.)

His history is rather unfortunate, and to be fair I wouldn’t be surprised if he flaked. I’ve seen a few projects come and go since I started this site, and this one doesn’t really seem to have a lot of staying power in it, sadly. But I try to be neutral and not let such opinions sway me when it comes to posting a project.

This is an interesting effort, and has some relation to Ultima. It is worth a mention, at least, even if it never releases or progresses past the point it is now at. It’d hardly be the only project like that listed on this site.
