Testing Aiera's news posting
[image:100:l:s=1:l=x]
Aiera, as mentioned, is designed to allow developers to submit, if they desire, news and updates on their projects via email. In fact, I’m even prepared to go one step further and sign up Aiera’s “secret” submit-by-email submission address to the project mailing lists (if they have), or at least to evaluate the feasibility of doing so.
This posting, then, is primarily intended to just be a test of that feature of the site. However, it’s worth drawing the reader’s attention to a few of the static pages that are featured on the site here:
- A Brief Ultima Synopsis is just that: a short (well, relatively, in that there’s a couple of short paragraphs of text concerning each Ultima title and its history) introduction to the Ultima series and the history of its development.
- The Acknowledgements page – a short page of thank-yous and acknowledgements to people who
have helped shape Aiera over the years. - The FAQ – answers to a few questions that I’ve gotten about Aiera over the years.
- The Timeline – a work in progress that will hopefully incorporate not only the canonical Ultimas but also all the various remakes and spin-offs into its scope at some point.
There are also a couple of new features that I’d like to direct the reader’s attention to as well, things that haven’t been seen on Aiera before:
- The Contact page – now you can use a handy, PHP-based form to send an email to Withstand the Fury Dragon.
- The Search page – search out specific content in Aiera.
Hopefully you’re reading this, O Reader — if so, it means that the post-by-email features of Aiera are up and running. If not, it means there’s a problem. But if not, it also means you’re not seeing this text now, and that seems as good a place and reason as any to bring the message to a close.
Keep up the great work!
