Dungeons of Chaos: Chapter 2 Released

Volker Elzner has released a second chapter for his Ultima-inspired RPG for the iPad, Dungeons of Chaos.

The description of what’s new in this version, per Apple’s App Store, is as follows:

What’s New in Version 2.0.0

v2.0.0
– includes the long awaited CHAPTER 2
– many new maps, monsters, NPCs, quests, shops
– advanced player classes, and guilds that control access to them
– many new randomised locations, some infinitely replayable
– an ending for the main storyline
– scrollable minimaps

bug fixes:
– an issue was fixed that could lead to a new game inheriting the NPC knowledge of a previous game
– removed an illegitimate teleport point

That’s a bit sparse, so Volker kindly emailed the Codex with some additional comments:

Chapter 2 quadruples the amount of content, with the storyline now finishing (or at least coming to a break point where future expansions can naturally expand from), advanced player classes, many more maps, dungeons, randomized locations, skills, spells, etc.

A significant expansion, in other words…and all for free if you already own the app. And if not, well…Dungeons of Chaos is only $1.99. And there’s even a free demo available.
