Epic Mickey 2: Coming to PC

Rock, Paper, Shotgun is reporting that Warren Spector’s Epic Mickey 2 may be headed to PC…courtesy of the efforts of 800 developers! Or, well…sort of:

They’re not all working on it all of the time, but as Warren Spector explained to Eurogamer: “You can either build a studio that has 700 people, which I desperately don’t want to do, and didn’t and don’t and won’t, okay? Or you can find partners around the world…So we have people working in Leamington in the UK, in Bulgaria, China, Canada, California, Utah. We have an enormous virtual team.” That’s a bit like how RPS works, too, except we have five people. And some cats. They.re useless.

Well, that would be interesting. I suppose the gesture-based controls of a Wii game would map not poorly to mouse gestures.

No R.I.O.T. yet? Damn thee, Withstand.

My cousin recorded the original song. I overlaid the organ and accordion in the first part in LMMS. I was inspired, other than by his amazing song, by an NPR story about dogs being transported and slaughtered in China for food. The audio clip of the dogs, hands and paws tied, was so sad I could have forsaken our race. One more reason to pray for apocalypse, I guess. Why do we ask for mercy while inflicting such pain? Help me WtF.

No R.I.O.T. as yet, no. You’ll recall I set those up in lieu of a forum…and now we have a forum again. Logins here are site-wide, meaning that you having an account here also gives you forum access.

So I’m debating whether the R.I.O.T. posts will stick around or not.

700 developers!! The AAA guys bloat their development up like that, and then whine about having to sell ten million copies of a game to make a profit.

Sad about the R.I.O.T. if you think forum posts suffice. I spent all night (after praise God correcting a major network bug) adding subtle instrumentation to this song, which I recast under my channel:

Dude’s my cousin. Crazy, huh? I made it about other species while he made it about humans. I also added the organ and accordion pieces to the beginning. The latter half of the audio has no additions by me.
