Two Shroud of the Avatar Wikis Are Merging
Fenyx4, whom I think most of you know from The Codex of Ultima Wisdom (he’s the technical person that keeps it all running smoothly), made an announcement earlier this week on the Shroud of the Avatar forums:
SotAwiki.net and Shroud of the Avatar wiki at UltimaCodex have an announcement. We’re merging!
SotAwiki.net will be moving to the Ultima Codex servers and will be keeping its name so, besides a brief downtime, very little will change there.
Shroud of the Avatar wiki at UltimaCodex, once the move begins, will be locked down to give us time to move relevant data to to SotAwiki.net and eventually will be shut down entirely.
We are sorry if this causes any distress for users and editors but we feel this is the best way to not duplicate efforts and avoid splitting the community.
From what I know about both groups I know we will complement each other well and I look forwards to working with everyone!

There’s really not much more to explain; Fenyx has basically covered it all. If you were an editor at the wiki based here on the Ultima Codex previously, do consider signing up with SotAWiki to help out in the same role.
Is there no way to merges the user base ?
This is good to merge the two wiki, but this is essentially severing the SotA wiki from the Ultima wiki, and thus splitting the userbase. A shame.
Sadly merging the user list isn’t a simple task. SotAwiki has more than 10 times the users (when looking at just active users on Shroud of the Avatar wiki at UltimaCodex) so we opted to keep their list.
Creating multiple accounts hopefully won’t be too much of an inconvenience.
