Elderlands: Halloween Event and Weekly Patches

A couple of new news posts have appeared on the Elderlands website over the last few days. The first concerns an in-game Halloween event…which, yes, began a few days ago, but which will be going on for a few more:

We are happy to announce our Halloween event. Sure we’re a little late with it but everybody can enjoy the slaying of evil undead creatures from the underworld for the next 10 days.

Slay world bosses and explore the dangers and rewards of the Lower Felgar Dungeons!

Join the adventure now.

As well, the development team are moving to a weekly patching cycle:

We are working on a patch which should address several bugs and some PvP issues. We hope to push this patch in the next day or two. This will be the last patch before we go into a weekly patch cycle. Most major issues have been address. There are still Login Server issues that will be corrected in the next day or two as well as a few client/launcher issues.

However normal game patches/updates will be posted weekly. This allows the team to spend more time on issues, content, features, and balancing.

We will post our weekly work schedule on the forums, Facebook and the main Elderlands website so the community stays informed on our progress.

I will also answer any questions and discuss any concerns or suggestions on the Elderlands forums.

If you’ve tested the game at all during its ongoing open beta, might I suggest logging back in for some of the (post-)Halloween fun?
