The Elderlands team have posted a couple of updates to the game’s website over the last few days. The first gives an update on how the open beta has been proceeding:

We would like to thank everybody for playing the Elderlands Public Beta. We have spent the past several days identifying issues and correcting them. We are now getting to only a small set of crucial bugs. The major issues have been resolved. Please be patient as we are a very small team trying to make a very large game and we will address every issue in game and to players directly. It may take some time before we talk to every person directly.

The game is doing well but is in need of us working on the features and content. As soon as our currently list of bugs have been resolved we will focus on gameplay, content and new features (Tradeskills, etc).

The second and most recent update, however, has some bad news: the game’s servers will be offline for a bit.

The game servers are down for some time. We experienced a problem deploying the latest version (beta.1.00.010) this morning. We are working on the issue now.

If your launcher shows now download activity after the patch you will have to reinstall the game. We apologize and will get the game back online as soon as possible.

Hopefully they are able to resolve the matter quickly.
