GOG Now Supports Linux (For Some of Their Games)

Big news from GOG.com: Linux support has officially arrived! Currently, about 50 games are supported (if I read the news release correctly), with additional games seeing support added every day. To celebrate, they’ve put together a special promo sale of a bunch of their Linux-supporting titles. So, how does this work? “For both native Linux versions, as well as special builds prepared by our team, GOG.com will provide distro-independent tar.gz archives and support convenient DEB installers for the two most popular Linux distributions: Ubuntu and Mint, in their current and future LTS editions.”

I couldn’t be happier. If I had an AK-47 I’d be firing shots into the sky, celebrating on the streets with my GNU brethren.
