A rather shocking update was posted to the Hearth of Britannia Facebook page earlier this evening:

It’s time to come clean: I’m selling my entire Ultima collection, not just the dupes. Ebay auctions start this week. ‪#‎NotJoking‬

He then went on to post his reasoning for this decision a short while later. That post is long, so I’ll suggest you click through to read it all. Here’s the rub, though:

This is an exercise in letting go. If I can let go of the things that I always unequivocally placed as more sacred above everything else, then I can let *anything* go. I want to be flexible. I want to flow like the river around a rock if something gets lost, damaged, or stolen. I don’t want my stuff to define who I am.

(N.B. While I feel somewhat “unfaithful,” Lord British personally approved and supported this decision. He’s a hell of a guy.)
