Shroud of the Avatar: Yet Another (Informative!) Map Piece Revealed

The most recent Update of the Avatar posted to the Shroud of the Avatar site of course contained another map piece in and among all of the other news items it conveyed:

This piece nestled in next to last week’s piece, just to the right of the lower-left corner of the map. And its revelation allowed for a number of different cities and geographical features to be named. Specifically, we learned of the cities (or towns) of Artifice and Xenos. We also learned about River Fall, a small river leading into the island of Elysium (another of this week’s revelations). Another point of interest on Elysium is named the Rumor Peaks (this being a mountain range). And over on the mainland, we learned the name of another mountain range, the Crags.

Oh, and I also realized I had erroneously coloured the name of the town of Bloodriver in yellow, which is the colour I use for geographical points of interest. I also spotted the name of the Blood river just south of said town; I missed that a few weeks ago, mostly due to the small font size and its proximity to the border of a puzzle piece.

There are only four pieces of the map left to be revealed, matching the four remaining chapters of Blade of the Avatar. Since there are more than four weeks left in Shroud of the Avatar’s development, one wonders if we won’t be treated to some other sort of map reveal once that span of time runs out. Perhaps a look at the Hidden Vale?

Anyhow, you can find the Ultima Codex’s always-up-to-date maps of Novia in their usual place.
