BioWare Tuesdays

So yesterday I acquired — or, well, no, I acquired it before; I was fully taken down by — whatever plague my own kids’ day home-attending little friends introduced them to at one recent play-date or another. That didn’t stop me, however, from spending a goodly chunk of the day out in the yard (in searing-hot weather, mind) doing all manner of things (including chopping down bushes, pruning trees and paring back their branches, and even planting a tree!). Nor did it stop me from then proceeding to take on a number of indoor household tasks during the afternoon and evening.

So I feel like death. Thus: no pithy commentary on this week’s BioWare-related linkage…I just don’t have the energy to be funny. Or snarky.

So, let’s look at what’s new in the world of Star Wars: The Old Republic. Hint: it might be a fair bit, including (according to rumour) off-rails space combat coming in a future update.

On the Mass Effect front, meanwhile:

Oh, and at the Golden Joystick Awards website, you’ll find Mass Effect 3 nominated under the Best Moment category (for the Citadel DLC). The Old Republic is nominated under the Best MMO catetory, as well.

Right, so…Dragon Age: Inquisition. There has been a lot of news pertaining to BioWare’s upcoming conclusion(?) to this fantasy RPG series published in the last week or so.

I will say this much: the dual-mode combat in Inquisition looks pretty awesome. Actually, the whole game looks awesome…the Frostbite 3 engine is really showing its power.
