Shroud of the Avatar: The Next Hangout of the Avatar Will Concern Music Composition

As announced by Portalarium community manager FireLotus on the Shroud of the Avatar forums, the next Hangout of the Avatar Google+ session will take place this coming Monday.

Those of you who were curious about the musical vision Richard Garriott had in mind for the game may want to tune in:

Please join us on a special Monday Hangout of the Avatar where Richard “Lord British” Garriott will reveal his inner bard by discussing his vision of Music Composition for Shroud of the Avatar. The broadcast will be from 3 to 3:30 pm CST on Monday, August 5th and as always, I’ll have the link for you 15 minutes prior to broadcast.

This will be the first Hangout where we are trying out a new 30 minute format, so I will primarily be taking your pre-submitted MUSIC related questions via Google Hangout at #LBSotA_Hangout. For those with an aversion to Google, you can also submit your question on the comments section of SotA.com.

It won’t be a long Hangout, so hopefully most/all of you are able to attend! I know a few people have been anxious for details about music in Shroud of the Avatar; this will be a chance for them to learn a bit more!

Is it my imagination, or are the number of posts on UltimaCodex inversely proportional to the number of replies to posts on UltimaCodex? Maybe people are posting stuff in all the other disparate forums now that the cat is out of the bag, but in any case I find it disturbing. I’m starting to feel like an idiot posting anything here, as I expect no reply (other than from the site admin WtF). While I truly appreciate that, I’m curious as to what is happening. I guess popularity breeds diversity.

Obviously I’m an old fart who doesn’t want to register multiple new accounts in various forums to track a single subject (Ultima), but it’s a shame that most Ultima-related discussion doesn’t occur here. UltimaCodex is by far the preeminent Ultima site. It should by example command and nurture the comment threads. It has seniority over many and has evolved into a partially-integrated meta-site. But it needs comments; the lifeblood of fan presence.
