Larian Saturdays

Did you know that Larian Studios, in addition to making RPGs, also makes educational games for children? Well, they to…and it would seem that their games are more effective at teaching math to second grade students than are pen-and-paper lessons.

So I guess I know where my daughters’ gaming odyssey will be taking them in a few more years.

Larian Studios also released a new promotional video for Divinity: Dragon Commander this week, which takes a look at the politics that permeate the game’s storyline, and some of the pitfalls one can encounter therein. Sven Vincke also took to his blog to explain the game’s political systems in greater detail.

A handful of previews of Dragon Commander were also published this week, including this one at Rock, Paper, Shotgun! (who have been significantly in love with the game for a while now). Beta keys for the game may still be available; see if you can grab one!
