Ultima Forever: Two Soundtrack Additions and a Review

The Ultima Forever Facebook page, in addition to reaffirming that the launch date will be announced at E3, posted a link to the latest track from the game’s soundtrack.

Another fantastic piece by Nick LaMartina, Mythic’s audio director and composer.

While you’re there, also note that another track has appeared on the SoundCloud stream for Ultima Forever.

The first track, Wanderer’s Tavern, was released last month.

You may have noticed a tweet from Paul Barnett earlier today, mentioning the first review for Ultima Forever has been posted.

Tony Zhang with AppsGoer.com has found a lot to like about the game, even among the crashes and lag in the early release.

You will notice right away that Ultima Forever is gorgeous. The characters and monsters are rendered in 3D and look great, but it is the beautifully hand-painted 2D backgrounds that really shine. An amazing amount of detail has gone into every corner of the world and the backgrounds look simply spectacular, especially on a retina display. The character portraits that are used during dialogue are also hand-painted and equally impressive.

Ultima Forever is a lot of fun to play and it has an enormous amount of content. The entire game can be reasonably completed solo and without buying a single IAP, if that’s how you choose to play. The world of Britannia is rich and full of great stories.

The early preview of Ultima Forever scores as 8.6/10. I’m sure WtF and the others playing the Canadian early release agree!
