Thief will evidently have a bit of a steampunkish feel, according to its director. The “Focus” ability was also detailed this week, giving us a bit of a look at one of the game’s mechanics. Eidos also teased that the Wii U version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution might just be the best version.

Oh, and don’t miss GameInformer’s look back at the original Thief.

BioShock Infinite — in which you play a psychopathic alcoholic, according to Ken Levine — was released this week (do check out its launch trailer, will you?), and has been stacking up positive reviews like gangbusters. Irrational Games don’t just have a hit on ,a href=”http://www.gameinformer.com/games/bioshock_infinite/b/pc/archive/2013/03/25/enjoying-the-view-from-above.aspx”>their hands; they have a game that will likely be a focal point of discussion for some time to come, given the rather epic twist that the end of the game involves.

It was all too much to try and aggregate every single review of the game that was published into this post; I just didn’t have the time. Suffice it to say, it’s a hit, a big one. So why not just check out what’s linked from here, pause to enjoy some gameplay footage, and then move on to the rest of the article?

If you’re playing the game on PC, these tweaks will likely improve the gameplay experience for you just a bit, and the game also evidently has a field of view bug that Irrational is working on a fix for. Oh, and here are some tips to help you get through the game.

Oh, and if you recall, the game also ships with an ultra-hard “1999 Mode”. This is supposed to unlock after the game is completed once, but it can be enabled from the get-go.

If you play the game on PS3, there’s a custom audio mode for a certain headset peripheral. You can even get Infinite working on your PS Vita, sort of.

Also, this cosplayer got hired by Irrational Games to help market the game. You should be able to see why.

Finally, Ken Levine has in fact denied that Infinite cost $200 million to make. Oreo cookies got involved somehow. Levine did, however, have some words of praise for the PlayStation 4. He’s also quite unsure what Irrational will be up to next.

Right, moving on…Legend of Grimrock 2 will evidently feature outdoor areas, based on a recently-released work-in-progress screenshot from the game. Almost Human also evidently scrapped quite a few possible designs for the game.

Ten Ton Hammer caught up with Cryptic’s Jack Emmert for an interview at PAX East. A couple previews of the game was also released recently, as were some details about Gnolls, one of the monsters in the game. The folks at Curse also nabbed an interview with Cryptic recently.

Supergiant Games’ Transistor continues to look awesome. Kotaku caught up with writer (and Ultima Dragon) Greg Kasavin recently, to talk about the game. Some gameplay footage was also released recently.

ArcheAgeevidently has a mobile tie-in, called (regrettably) ArcheVille. Enough said, I suppose.

Oh, and Might & Magic X looks damn cool. I’m not sure what to think about the game overall, although I do like the thought of a new game built on the model of the first five or six entries in the Might & Magic series.

Oh, and it seems that a few former 38 Studios developers were at PAX East as well, discussing some of the indie projects they went to work on in the wake of the studio’s closure.

Might and Magic X is actually a fully 3D world despite the grid movement, too. You can freely look around. Interesting choice of things to do.
