Ex-Interplay Fridays

I’m finally getting around to re-naming the “Obsidian Fridays” feature into “Ex-Interplay Fridays”, because that really is what it has become over the last few months with all of the coverage devoted to inXile Entertainment. Kudos to Infinitron Dragon for the suggestion.

Not that there’s much news to report from either company this week, mind you. Reward tiers for the upcoming Torment: Tides of Numenera Kickstarter campaign have been announced, and it would appear that pledges of $25 and up will land you a copy of the game when it’s finished.

$95 would appear to be the lowest pledge amount required to obtain a physical cloth map…which the game will evidently have. Keep that in mind.

Also on the inXile front: this clarification, which was published to address some concerns expressed online about Wasteland 2’s keyword conversation system.

RPGFrance has an interview with Chris Avellone and Adam Brennecke, which concerns Project Eternity. And Josh Sawyer posted an update to the Project Eternity Kickstarter page, in which some details about the game’s melee combat rules were revealed.

I think CRPG fans need to reassess what exactly the definition of “role playing” is. It appears to have been forgotten. Otherwise the game looks promising and hopefully will be a beam of light in the otherwise dark CRPG universe.

Just FYI, the tiers are not final and could yet change.
